I have found old threads of similar things but no definitive answers or help to my particular problem. I just replaced pad's and rotors both front and rear, well at this time i used Monte caliper bracket's and rotors. The front end went smoothly and no issues. The rear on the other hand, have this annoying pedal feeling, and a popping sound that bounces from side to side and can be felt in the pedal. Only feel this when braking under 40mph. I have taken everything apart and cleaned, greased the pins and checked it all and appears to look normal to me. Only thought I have could be hanging caliper. But was hoping someone would have some info that I may have missed. I did read in one thread something about the rear caliper has to be spun the compress, but appeared to me that it was just a standard compress.

Car is a 2000 gtp btw.

04+ is the spin in style.

Maybe its something inside the rear e-brake drum assembly?

I was thinking this too, but everything looks fine and it's all working as it should just have this noise now. But what gets me about that is I only feel this when braking.

Maybe ill just try throwing some new e-brake shoes on see if maybe they are warped or out of round. Been thinking it could be the rotors too, maybe I got a bad pair. Think ill send them to napa to see if they are out of round or warped possibly. I don't know what else is left after that besides calipers sticking.

I've seen it wear the pads are the problem, like the metal piece that slides into the slides is not the right size so when the brake is pressed, the pad moves forward and you hear the sound.

That was the case with the Callahan pads i first installed, the O'really Brake best select ceramic is what i had to replace with. They fit snug enough to not move around but still slide through.
