    What brand parts are we talking here?

    In my experience quality parts don't have these issues.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Where did you grease the pad, The pad itself should not need greased, Just the metal retainers.

    Again..quality pads, need no grease as the shims take care of it all.

    Power Stop pads and rotors. I only greased the ... ears (for lack of a better term) that sit in the bracket as well as a little grease rubbed on the retainers. Well, this time I also applied grease to the caliper where is touches the pads. Just in case.

    The sales rep vaguely implied that I may not have broke them in enough. Since it's winter and cold here, I made the extra effort to ensure I got the pads good and hot.
