    Hello
I own a 1997 gtp 2dr and am having some work done to the rear end.
I was wondering if someone could provide me with a vital measurement!
I need the distance between the two rear struts from inside the trunk at the center.
My passenger side fender well has a massive crack in it from a previous owners accident.
The strut is currently leaning in way too far and my friend who works at a body shop has kindly offered to weld it all back together for me, but he needs that measurement to make it perfect.
Hoping someone could provide this for me, it would be greatly appreciated!

If he works at a body shop he should have access to the book that gives him the measurements for "Xing" in the rear end.

That may be the case for most body shops, but it's not the case with this one.

Are you sure this didn't happen from rust damage? I'd measure mine but mine are probably off due to rust

There is some surface rust in and around the area, but not a relative amount to cause this damage. The drivers side is clean and I know the passengers side was struck years ago. The way that the crack is propagating tells me its origin. I'm probably only off by an inch or so, but a reference measurement and an alignment afterwards will at least get me back on track.

Then I would find one that has the right information and ability to fix it properly... I can only imagine problems otherwise.

Its just a simple measurement, can anyone help me out? I appreciate all the input from everyone but I have full faith in the abilities of the guys at this shop.

Thanks a bunch, repair has already been completed. Through a series of measurements we acquired the necessary measurements. I understand everyones concerns with performing those types of repairs in an "official" body shop, one with all sorts of technical data at their fingertips, but we also know they guys who have decades of welding experience under their belts who dont require technical data and can do things other body shops can't.
