So ive been talking with someone on here and im having no luck with solving my problem so i figured i would try and see if any one else had any ideas. I recently changed out my transaxles on both driver and passenger sides and replace the tie rod end links, sway bar end links, hub assembly, and the brake caliper on the drivers side to try and trouble shoot this problem but if i drive the car there is a really loud squealing noise that comes from the brake area in the front. I cannot figure out why, where, or how this noise is coming from. i ordered new rotors and brakes today to see if replacing them will help. but if anyone has had this problem befor or has any advice on what it could be please let me know. im going to upload a video link tomorrow.

When does it make the noise?

On the gas or when on the brakes?

    At what speeds?

it makes the sound as soon as i start rolling forward....but its not constant itll like stop for a second or two then start back. If im in reverse it doesnt do it near as bad. and i dont even have to give it gas just moving forward will make it do it. I put the car in neutral and pushed it and it still makes the noise without anything running. and speeds i havent had it above 15 mph since this noise started.

hey just want to let anyone know if your having this problem and it sounds like the video in that link that i sent i figured out the problem and its very simple and can be fixed with a house key. Between your hub assembly and the knuckle that the hub assembly mounts onto is a thin metal piece that holds the abs wiring in place. on the bottom of that metal piece is another part that just sticks out for no reason down there. Take and bend it away from the rotor chances are it prolly got bent while working on it and it was what was rubbing the rotors. any more question or want pictures let me know and ill post them

Ah, we see that all time in the shop, the dust shield or the brake backing plate get bent and rub on the rotor.

im sure i asked if the dust shield was rubbing the rotor...thats that thin piece of metal with no reason for being there.

o haha yea i didnt know that was a dust shield. ive never seen one like that before....it doesnt even cover anything at all it just goes between the hub and steering knuckle and hold the abs wires in place. i guess i now know what it is.
