You aren't the first and won't be the last.
well it worked the brakes could stop the car....but the passengers side is dragging and the pedal is super super spongy
I just did this last week. The spongy feeling could just be from the stock rubber line might be aging or the pads need settling in. One mine had some hard stops , they are very grabby now
Bleeding can be key to avoid a spongy pedal. Best is using 2 people. One to press pedal down until its firm then hold it there while you open bleeder. Push the pedal to the floor until fluid stops coming out with air. Close bleeder and pump up the pedal again. eventually just fluid will come out and no air.
Also remember to bend out your brake line bracket where it attaches to the frame of the car. That will give you more reach with stock lines
Bleed them again.
thank you crazyguy03 i think everything we went over sums up the problems and yes they will get bled again and probably again
are you doing the 2 person bleeding procedure?
bleed the abs pump too. when the brake pad burn in, they will feel tighter and tighter, and work better, just ride them nice for a few days, no hard stops over and over. nice and easy for a few days.
You could save face if you say they are the F body calipers. Because to fit our application we put them on the opposite sides from their markings. Meaning the L caliper goes on the R of our cars because of where they are located on the F body knuckle vs ours.

ask Swiggles... we went through 3 of the large bottles during bleeding his car. I never touched the bleeders...and didn't see them pointing to the ground. learned something that day.
as have i bill as have i
That's the first clue right there...how can you bleed it and use so much fluid..
we were at a loss by that point it was late everyone went home i posted here and my problem was solved
Next time...get the write up and when things don't seem right... post.
yeah i learned my lesson
UPDATE!! alright so i got the system completely bled and bent the metal clip ive been taking it easy and havent brought it down harder then 50-0 yet just driving around town lite braking and the brakes feel the same no monumental difference idk if i just expected more or what lol i did have to slam on the brakes at like 25mph because some lady stoped short in a neighborhood and it stopped on a freakin dime, is that where these really shine over stock the hard stops?
i'd say the top 1/3 of the pedal feels very much like stock. but when you nail them, you have BRAKES!
yeah alright thats how they feel and i was just wondering if it was right the only other GP ive ever drivin was the 07 GT we had
Get the ss lines it helps with a firmer pedal feal when I did my setup on my 40th I felt a huge difference especially at high speed they just bite down so much better over stock. And plan on doing this to all my gp. Don't plan on settling with stock after experiencing the difference.
