Hello,
I have a 2004 Grand Prix GT2 and I really want to lower it, but I do not want to mess it up! After doing some research I like the drop from SSC springs on a 2004 but I want to know if they will be a smart decision for my situation. I have 19x9" rims on the car with 1" spacers (because they are a different lug pattern) And I have a set of 16" black hub rims with winter tires on them (these wheels are very similar in size to the stock wheels) which I use 1.5" spacers just for the front two wheels for clearance issues. I am worried that my variety of wheels will cause difficulty with lowering the vehicle thats why I'm asking for your help! Also if I lower the vehicle could I get by with a reliable solid improved ride by purchasing SSC lowering springs, anti pogo washers, and KYB GR2 Excel G struts?? Or do I need more parts?? I would like to replace the struts simply because the car could use it, but I would like to ask while I am at it, is it possible to keep my stock struts with the lowering springs?? One more thing, I feel confident in doing this my self but I have no experience with it. Is it worth it to do it myself? What tools do I need beside a spring compressor for a job like this?? And if I don't do this myself where can I go for good cheap labor??
Any help will be extremely appreciated and when telling me what I need for this job whether it be tools or parts please be specific as possible so I dont miss anything!!!
Thanks!!!!!
