So I think I'll be replacing the front control arms. The front is starting to get quite "creaky". A little squirt of WD 40 on the bushings quieted the problem for about a week. The Dorman units are about $38 each on Rock Auto so I'm thinking I'll go that route. Has anyone else done this? It appears relatively simple. Did you need an alignment when you were done? Thanks.

    Oh yeah...It's an 07 GT.

complete arms are the best option.

you get new bushings, new ball joint and an easier install.

Soo....alignment?? In theory all the measurements should be the same so it shouldn't need it but I'm wondering about those who have done this. Did you do an alignment?

It's my daily driver and only car so I need to be able to have everything planned out. I suppose I could make an appointment for an alignment and cancel it if the cars feels tight and goes straight down the road.

Even if the car feels tight and goes straight..the alignment can be off. Which will wear tires etc.

Your last alignment wasn't on the new control arms. What if one bushing was squished on little way? I know..I suck, but I'm saving your tires and making your car drive better.

That's pretty much what I was thinking too. Just wanted to hear it from someone else. Thanks.

Next question. I was looking through other threads and didn't see this so sorry if I missed it. Is this something I'll be able to do with hand tools or will I need to go to someones with a compressor and air tools? Thanks.
