hey, forum - stuck in the middle of a repair and need some advice before the rain starts! doing a front hub assembly.. put it on the spindle once and it didn't go all the way on so I figure it would push on when I tightened everything down.
but it didn't - just forced the CV axle all weird, so I had to rent a puller to get the new hub off and start over

first - there are some slight nics on the grooves on the new hub... trash it or not? PLus some dings where I tried to hammer it off...

then ... how to get the hub on correctly (with this one or if I go buy another one) the one I bought doesn't seem to just slide on there.

I just did a wheel bearing last night and when I pulled the old out part of it stayed behind. Think it ended up coming out in three pieces. I had pulled the cv shaft though so that might have made it easier.
