    They tend to be weaker since they are drilled and crack around that area. They're not needed unless your tracking the car and you tend to not be able to have them turned if needed.

    Enough of a reason not to purchase them and stick with either blanks or slotted.

    You're right there is a difference between cast with holes and being drilled...about the only ones that are cast with holes are pretty high end and only effective with actual race cars.

    great read drunkie. Maybe im spoiled cause i have a GXP now before i had a GTP with GXP rotors/calipers and before that my 91 parkave had fbody BAER eradispeed rotors. all crossdrilled but then again i can agree with the logic in the thread you posted.

    Another endless question about this setup I keep seeing the rear calipers brembo still 4 piston, will those work as well?

    No one has done the rear calipers, Alixor is trying it out. They don't just bolt up, he is having to make custom brackets. Then there is the rotors among other things.

    sorry i shouldve been specific. what i mean is will the rear CTS-V calipers work as a swap onto the front for our car.

    I have no idea. Your GXP calipers you have up front have more braking power than the rear CTS-V calipers

    yea but brembos got sex appeal and it will compliment my 2 piece 13' rotors i have coming in. these things weigh 14-15lbs each which saves almost 10lbs off the driveline.

    your calipers are PBR, which is pretty good as is.

    OK so I need to know if the gxp wheel hub has a different offset then the stock wheel hub... ran into another problem with the rear setup lol... the rotor I was hoping would work has a deeper hat then I anticipated so the rotor is now closer to the knuckle then intended... so I need to know if the hubs for the gxp are further away from the knuckle then stock
    04 Top-swapped, 3.2 pulley, ZZP 1.9 rockers w/ #90 springs,Mild P&P heads, Pacesetter Headers, Sseilmnop 2" Phenolic Intercooler with stage 3 HE, ZZP billet fuel rails, 42.5lb injectors, 3" full exhaust, all poly mounts,other supporting mods.
    oh and weight addition mods: CTS-V brake upgrade, 14" GT500 rotors

    It shouldn't be as the emergency brake drums are the same from the 97-03 and GXP .

    Hmmm well what about a 04+ non gxp.. could the offset on the hub be different then the gxp one? Cause the hat on the gxp is deeper to allow for the ebrake correct..

    Ya but that would through the offset way off... I am wondering if the gxp/03+ knuckles and hubs are different then the 04+ ones (yes I know the e-brake set up is diff.) But whether or not the knuckle pulls the caliper in further to allow the deeper gxp rotor..
