Wow, when I started this thread I didn't expect it to turn into such a debate.
I was just sharing some info I had received.
I do agree that the GR2/Excel-G name is not the difference, it just happens the newer part numbers are being called Excel-G.
The difference is in the part numbers themselves that are intended replacements for the "special handling package" equipped monte carlos and impalas. - Perhaps my choice of post titles was misleading.
Still waiting for my Vogtlands to ship, so I don't have any updates yet. Will post pics and take before/after measurements of ride height for everyone to see.
I would think there would be a difference over the GR2 grand prix specific replacements.. Why would KYB go through the hassle of R&D and making a seperate part? Monroe, Gabriel, etc do not make any differentiation.
Maybe i'm just being hopeful.. Consider this an experiment, and I'm the guinnie pig.
