I have a 2006 Grand Prix GT. Love the car. It has 85K miles and has never been to the dealer (excpet when I hit a pot hole and messed up the front end - but that is another story).
This weekend I replaces the rear brakes, rotors, and put in a set of monroe quick struts. 4 hours work and went perfect.
Now I want to do the front end. I downloaded the chilton manual and it says for my car I can replace the struts through the shock tower without having to remove the springs ot the strut assembly. I guess this was standard on the W bodies.
Does this make sense to anyone?
When I looked at the tower I don't think this is correct for the 2006 GP GT. In order to change the struts I THINK I have to remove the entire assembly and do the spring compression thing.
Is that correct?
Which one is it?
Any advice would be appreciated.
I think I am going to go with the sensa tracks unless anyone says otherwise.
