Likely cheap pads didn't have shims on the back. If you didn't use something goopy/sticky like disc brake quiet to spray the back of the pads and stick them in place, that could do it. Or really cheap pads..

This is my guess. If the cheap pads don't have a damping pad on the back, you will need to apply some anti squeal compound to the back of the pads. Without the damping material, expect it to squeal like a pig.Originally Posted by BillBoost37
