Thread: Popping on front end of Grand Prix...

I got my car back from the dealer yesterday and I have good news!! It was the support bracket that runs from the strut tower to the radiator that was causing the problem. It was loose and needed tightened. I hope this helps anyone who may come across an issue similar to this!

I have a popping noise as well, 2001 GP, but it does NOT occur when I start the car, it happens right as the car comes to a stop and when excelerating. Backing out the driveway in the morning down a slight decline and right as the tires bounce over the small lip between the road and my driveway I hear the pop. Likewise, people have looked at the suspension and said all looks okay. I'm thinking it's the struts, or something within this as rubber housing can crack if you hit a bump hard enough ram the shock piston so hard it bottoms out. However, I'll take a look at this bracket to the strut tower and can only hope it's something that simple. Wish I had a picture of this so I knew what to look for.
