I have an annoying clunk when I start braking. Doesn't do it all the time, but most of the time. Also happens sometimes when I am starting to accelerate. Sounds and feels like it is coming from the front somewhere. I just replaced the upper motor mount bushings and the lower engine mount, thinking that was causing it but still does it. Any thoughts?

Looked them over and gave everything a shake with my hand. Nothing really felt loose. Is it common? Upper or Lower?

Either or you have to put a load on them. Open your hood and start the car with you FOOT on the brake put it into drive and give it some gas and see what moves. look at you engine throught the lil space between you hood and dash. see if it moves it foward and see if it moves in reverse. Brake tourque. also check your sway bar and sway bar links..

Lower control arms. The bushing probably slipped out of the rear mount on it. Happens all the time. Also, check your sway bar to see if it is cracked and your sway bar links.
