Ok so got an 08 GXP...I want to lower it. Been looking around for coilover kits not really finding anything for my car. What is the best option anyone has found for lowering a Grand Prix and any links would be appreciated. I dont want any junk micky mouse set ups either. Id like to keep it under $1k

    Thanks

GXP's have bilsteins already so the struts can handle a lowering spring. They also already sit a little lower than a regular 04+ grand prix. I do know that SSC makes lowering springs that seem to perform well for the GXP. There are not a lot of mods available for the GXP. I am pretty sure that there are no coilover set ups. Eibach also makes springs. I'm not sure how they ride or perform.

it might sit to low in the front if you use regular lowering spings from a 04+ gp, cus your gxp is a v8 alot heavier in the front than a normal gp

d@mned LS4's, the only LS engine with practically no aftermarket support.

    Chop the springs!

I have a gxp as well...if I use ssc springs only will I be ok? I don't want to mess up any other suspension parts. I had a Supercharged Coblat with Eibachs only and had no issues at all. Why is the GP different?

You will be fine with SSC springs. Guys on ls1tech like the ride of the SSC on the GXP. You can go there and find out more info.

i was reading up and the GXP is the same weight as the GTP basically, the article i read mentioned what they changed but i forget, i know the GXP has an aluminum subframe and they did some weight reduction to even out the front end's weight, i'll look for the article...
