    Brake fluid is made both conventional and synthetic. You should be able to run either as long as it is DOT 3 compatible. I personally use Valv. DOT 4 fully synth. in my 2000.

    DOT 3 and DOT 4 are acceptable AND interchangable. DO NOT use DOT 5. Always use a fresh container, never any "leftovers". Brake fluid absorbs moisture and you want to keep that out of your brake system.
