My brakes have been making this squealing noise for a few weeks now. I know its not the hub bearings. Its only during light braking like coming up to a stop sign or whatever.

I pulled off the pads and tried that anti squeak stuff on the back of the pads. No dice. Any suggestions. Pads and rotors have less than 2k on them? Cheap brakes? That was my best guess. I've read it could be the abs bracket rubbing but I don't remember the source of that info. Any ideas?

on the back of the pads, if they are cheap pads they likely dont have shims, causing a squeal.

having same problem, brakes are brand new with drilled and slotted rotors front and rear ceramic pads no expense spared. not even 1000 miles and they squel on light braking from the rear it seems

Brakes were replaced by previous owner. Was going to upgrade to fbody kit and since its coming from the front, I want to see how that works. Just looking for something to make it shut up. I hate hearing noises coming from my car, except when she wines

I had a similar problem. My dad and I took off the front 2 tires to check it out and it was the ABS mounting plate rubbing. We found out that when you turn the wheels all the way one way, that one will actually get bent a little bit. So, what we did is I turned the wheel all the way to the right, and had my dad adjust the right sides bracket until it no longer touched any moving parts (mainly the router) and then we did the same thing with the left side, and now I don't have any squeaking!
