you are able to rent the special tools needed at any local parts store.

    1. pull tire off
    2. take outter tie rod end off
    3. cut metal tie holding inner boot on.
    4. take inner boot off
    5. place special tool on flat spots off inner tie rod end..and turn counter clockwise..and pull out.

    6. put locktite on new inner threads..before you put on.

then it is opposite of removal....takes about 30min in your driveway.

Now I wonder why it is that you cannot post in plain English like that more often? Easy to understand, easy to help out when we know what it is that you are saying.

To answer your question, yes you will need a special tool to remove the inner tie rod. Oddly enough its called an inner tie rod removal tool, go figure. You will need the one that can accommodate different sized tie rods. When I bought mine eons ago they had one specifically for GM vehicles so you may check and see if that is the case still. I paid a pretty penny for mine but it will work, as far as I know, virtually on any GM vehicle. The only time Ive used it, however, was on the Grand Prixs Ive owned.

Yes, you do. You should be able to borrow it from any auto parts store, though.

I'm quoting this from the GM Service Manual for W-Bodies.... (I would post the entire thing, but all the instructions are for replacement with the rack out of the car and really wouldn't help much).
    Important
Threads must be clean prior to LOCTITE® application. Check LOCTITE® (or equivalent) container for expiration date. Use only enough LOCTITE® to evenly coat threads.

If male rack and female inner tie rod (1) do not apply LOCTITE®.
Ours are male rack/female inner tie rod, so GM recommends no Loctite. Although I don't think it would necessarily hurt anything.

    Also, just for reference....
Tighten the inner tie rod to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).
The inner boot can be resecured with a ziptie with no problems since I found it impossible to ever get a crimping tool back in there to resecure a metal band. After calling several places to see what they do, they all said ziptie.
