I am in need of new front 12" rotors on my 40th Anniv (2002) I am currently running drilled rotors for the F-body Brake upgrade I installed in 2008. When I ordered the kit from ZZP, they sent me the calipers, but no rotors. ZZP customer service told me the F-body rotors were on backorder. After talking with CS, they said they would get the rotors from W-body Store in Chicago. Within a week, I got the drilled rotors delivered and installed them. Where can I get the 12" drilled rotors? All I see are both slotted and drilled, or just slotted. Are these 12" rotors the same as the ones used on Montes, Impalas, Intrigues?

look up R1 brakes on ebay, 200 bucks for all 4 corners and you'll have the best damn brakes you ever had.

if you have f bodys calipers you need f body rotors and pads, 98-02 camaro or firebird. any model, all the same.

find those, add to your cart, then find the stock back brakes for your car add to cart, you;ll get 10 or 20% off too.

they have solid blanks, or drilled and slotted. i got the drilled and slotted E line rotors with the scorched ceramic pads kit for both front and rear. i also have f bodys.

    Thanks for the quick response.

I have the F-body calipers already, they work fine and don't need to order new calipers and the entire kit. I just need to know where I can find the same exact drilled rotors I have now. I ordered the f-body brake upgrade from ZZP back in 2008. Those drilled rotors that I have now are not offered by ZZP anymore. They sell some cheap slotted/drilled rotor that everyone is warning to stay away from.

The old drilled rotors (F-body) I need to replace have almost 200,000 miles on them, no warpage. There is minimal rust on them and my GP stops really well.

Are the 98-02 camaro or firebird front rotors drilled? I have drilled rotors on the back (GXP) and I need the front rotors and back rotors to match. I don't want slotted rotors on the front.

I have checked RockAuto and I do not see drilled
98-02 camaro or firebird front rotors. They are slotted/drilled or just regular plain surface.
On ebay, the only rotors I am seeing are
slotted/drilled or just regular plain surface.

I believe the drilled rotors I have now were from "W-body Store" in Chicago. Back in '08 when I ordered the F-body upgrade, ZZP did not have rotors for the upgrade on stock. Customer Service told me they were trying to locate rotors for me for the F-body upgrade. I wish now that I would have ordered an extra set of the same heavy duty drilled rotors I am using now (but they are worn out and need replaced)

Why don't you just look at R1 concepts website itself?

Maybe you'd find what you need?

I mean it only took me 2 minutes to find "drilled" only front rotors for a 2001 Camaro.

Good luck finding the exact same rotors you bought 9 years ago, designs change as do names on products. R1 concepts has regular drilled rotors if you want them.

    Hey, all is well!
I have gone to R1 Concepts site and found what I needed. All the "auto parts stores" I was visiting did not have what I needed. That's why I wrote asking for specific rotors, and was glad I was told about a dedicated brake parts store like R1 Concepts. I have not shopped for any brake parts for many years (other than powerstop ceramic brake pads at Summit Racing) so was not sure what was out there.
I had done google searches, but did not see R1 Concepts, or otherwise I would have ordered and not wrote to GPF.
Also I admit I had gotten impatient and maybe did not take care in my words. I did not mean to do so, bad on my part.
IF you only knew how much reading I have done here on GPF and literally dozens of times I was led to a solution to fix of buy something by Scottydogs, and Fivefingerdeathpunch! If something ever happened to this forum, I think I would sell all my GP's within a week. I wouldn't be able to keep them running. And the search button on here has to be worn out from me using it.
Also, I must acknowledge all the others who have helped me also on here!
    Happy GP traveling!

with the r1's follow the break in procedure and over the next week/few hundred miles they only get better feeling, and thats kinda hard to believe when they already feel so damn good.

buy them off ebay, cheaper there, and you get 10% or maybe 20 if you buy 2 sets, aka front and back. just make sure your buying matching rotors pads front and back.

add both to your ebay cart then buy or you dont get the discount. iirc i paid right about 200 shipped for f bodys and stock rear pads and rotors.

the other great thing is replacement pads are only 30 bucks for the f bodys.

Good advice. I always follow the break-in procedure and as a result, I have ceramic brake pads that have lasted up to 90,000 miles. That's pretty good I say.

Since last night this time, I have learned patience at searching for brake parts!

I do not know what brand of F-body rotor I have on my 2002 GP. It is just crossdrilled, not slotted. I have had the rotor off the car before and I did not see any markings whatsoever on it indicating who makes the rotor. It has been on the GP for 163,000 miles, and it's been turned down 1 time so far. There is no warpage, and there are no cracks around the holes on the surface. A few people I talk to said it could be made by Brembo. Would ZZP have sold Brembo rotors with their F-body kits for the GP back in 2008?

Well, whoever is the manufacturer, I would like to have another set.

I have found Brembo front drilled rotors for 1998-2002 F-body, part # 37181. These are sold from RPM Speed.com for $202 a pair.
    http://rpmspeed.com/98-02-ls1-v6-bre...-rotors-pair-/
For comparison, AndysAutoSport has the exact same rotor for $329 a pair

Update on these Brembo rotors: the company is no longer making these, they have decided to retool. All the sites I checked don't have them. That's any rotor being made by Brembo.

(note: what do I need to do to get a link to work? I have noticed many on here lately that do not work)

Fairly certain R1 uses Centric blanks still, if that eases any anxiety about not being those exact ones.

If they don't make the old ones, that point's kinda moot anyway.
