    And the boot only needs to be removed if being replaced. It can stay put for the caliper bolt.

    if the ones you have are not torn up you can just clean them and push em back on. its literally just a boot that slides on, (no tricks) the pin just fits through it.

    So....the lower caliper bolt is getting stripped out. I went.to the auto parts places and all they have are the ones shown in the previous post (no rubber without buying another kit). My top bolt had no rubber at the end, my lower does. I go to the local junkyard this morning and the first caliper bolt I pull from the bottom does not have the rubber...the top did. Ummm, I check 3 other cars...all different (1 with rubber bolt on top, 2 with rubber on bottom.

    Wtf? The gm parts diagram doesn't help for crap either. Must not matter.

    Pretty sure only one pin per caliper (on my car) have the end rubber piece. I think that piece just acts like a guide, so having it on all 4 shouldn't be a bad thing.

    im sure you'll be ok with out that rubber tip on the pin.
