Wondering what replacement struts I could get. Car is lowered & has always road pretty stiff. Looking for something softer, more normal ? I'm not sure if this is how all GTP's ride. Car now has 148K on it, still rides like it was @ 46K. 04 GTP

Search around, tons of threads on struts.

KYB GR2's are like stock-ish struts, will ride decent with lowering springs. AGX's are over priced and ride worse to most and the next step is coilovers for the best ride.

So, are they softer? I don't want to go through all the work & $$$ & have the same ride. Does a GTP Comp G normally ride stiff? You feel every bump in the road. What about swapping with non Comp G struts ?

    Hey Dave

The KYBs are suppose to be a little better than stock. If your car is a compg than they would be softer than the FE3s.

My compg was stiff before the SSC install and stiffer after. New FE3s helped a little.
My next strut will be KYB for the money.

But honestly the springs are your biggest problem. Going back to stock springs will help with the Kush ride

So I already swapped the eiback springs for softer ones. Helped a lot. Are you saying there are no lowering springs that aren't way stiff?

Vogtlands maybe. The least amount of drop and closest to stock ride, all things in mind.

Comp Gs are supposed to ride stiff. Thats the cornering and purpose of the "comp g", with that being said going with Monroe quick struts will put a softer ride on there. Any lowering springs are not really going to give a smooth ride.
