I have always searched for the best parts and when possible I buy USA made parts no matter what the cost. We'll there are ZERO options for our cars and most domestic that are still made here. However I have had good luck with NAPA "Ultra Premium" rotors and it led me to do a little looking into who makes them. First I asked the parts counter guy he said he thought they were Affinia and I found that they manufacture parts for Raebestos. So I checked the part numbers on the rotors I just bought for my Trailblazer from NAPA and the Part numbers were almost identical to the Raebestos "Advanced Technology" line. NAPA Part# for front Rotors 880019 and the Raebestos Part# on RockAuto was 590019 and then I compared the pictures and looked at the veins (this is where the rotors varie the most between manufactures) they were identical. Then to see if this was just a fluke I checked the Rear rotors, rear NAPA were the same just the first number was different. Food for thought even though the set I bought for my 06+ Impala brake upgrade were made in china and the new ones for the TB are also made in China. They are the best quality I think is out there and their quality control is the best I have come across. AVOID ALL ADVANCED AUTO PARTS ROTORS they are garbage. No matter the grade they sell.
Also the pairing of these apparently Raebestos rotors and the Wagner Thermoquiet Ceramic Pads have phenomenal stopping power and with zero brake. They still have no pulsation after 15,000 miles and I punish my car like a redheaded stepchild day in and day out!

Funny, I have the Advance Auto rotors on my car, have been running them for years, and have no issues with them.

Hey you guys, I actually made a mistake. I meant to say to avoid the Autozone rotors. I have boughten 2 sets of them one for another w-body, and the first set was the most expensive rotors that they sell and they pulsated right out of the box like crazy. The second set that I installed on that car not long after were the cheapest ones that they sell and the pulsated as well, but not nearly as badly.
    I stand by this claim.
Sorry, for the confusion and glade to hear about your good luck!

Yes the Auto zone Duralast stuff is 100% crap. I have the top line rotors and ceramic pads from Advanced on the GTP and have been happy with them.

Yes Napa top line parts are good but tend to be very pricey.

when you consider putting them up against premium aftermarket parts they're very reasonable.

and no, R1 concepts are NOT premium parts. they're junk.

Yeah they just use Centric C-Tek or less rotors.

What meant was that I try to buy my premium parts from Rock Auto, way cheaper than retail, but don't always have time to wait for shipping. A premium part at the local Napa store is often close to double what Rock gets even with shipping.

Advance usually comes in cheaper than Rock Auto when you factor in Advance's discount codes and Rock's shipping. Then if you are ordering multiple items and they are coming from separate locations the shipping goes up exponentially. With Advance if you aren't in a hurry and are ordering to have shipped its free shipping after $75 anyway.

It's also worth looking into Amazon, I don't know about rotors, but a lot of auto parts have free 2-day shipping with prime.

I have always had good luck with the advance auto wearever gold rotors with the platinum/police grade pads in my Impalas. They don't look fancy, but they last for freaking ever. TRT40/TRT41 discount code to get 2 rotors for ~$60, then TRT30 to knock some money off the pads. Great, reliable front brake setup for about $100.
(Clarification, you create seperate online orders for the rotors, and the pads).

There might be better combos for the money, but this has been tried and true for me.
