I'm picking up a set of 17" 2006 GT SE rims tomorrow, and I plan on lowering the car eventually. I plan to keep these struts and replace them with FE3 Comp G struts when they crap out on me. I only want to lower the car slightly, maybe an inch or an inch and a half. Has anybody done this? How'd it turn out? What parts did you use?

I have Vogtlands on FE3's on 17's and it fills the wheel well nicely. After they settled I can only fit one finger in the gap.

Can get pics during the day. It's a little more than one finger actually, maybe 3/4 inch gap. Running stock 2005 GTP 17's but I have 1" studded spacers so the tread is closer to the wheel well as well which helps fill it out.

It's so overcast out I had to lighten the picture so you can see how far the tread goes.

Any problems with the spacers so far? Those rims look great with a little more poke.

Had them on since July 2014, no issues. Full concentric hubs, not cheap Chinese ones.

Not bad for $175, lol. And what brand were the spacers?

Good deal on the wheels! Off the top of my head, I don't remember where I got the spacers, but I remember we were discussing them in the Wheel And Tire Question thread. They are listed under Cadillac, but are the correct hub and studs for our stocks.
