Ok so first of all let me say my radio is not working, and I'm not sure why. This is the second radio that has stopped working in my car, not sure why. If I put another radio in it, it will most likely work for a couple of weeks and stop. That seems to be the pattern anyhow. It possible I've just gotton 2 bad radios, they were both used when I got them but in good condition. Anyhow, where would I start looking for problems? How would I diagnose this. Now that that's out of the way. I went to few yard sales today and picked up a few things. I found a Sony EXCD-3RF 10 disc CD changer. I was wondering if there was even a way to hook it up in my car? Are these designed to work with any head unit or do you have to have certain HU for it? If I can't use it I'm only out $3 so It's no biggie. Also I found a complete set of speakers from about a 2010 Dodge Ram. It appeared to have the premium audio. There were 8 speakers, 4 tweeters, 1 subwoofer with box, and the factory Chrysler amp. I'm not going to use the tweeters or the amp. I have an MTX sub and amp also that I plan to hook up as soon as I get my radio working again. All the speakers I bought are in excellent condition, we paid $3 for all of it, so I'm hoping to upgrade a bit. I was wondering if there is anyway to add speakers to the rear doors in my 2000 Grand Prix, and maybe even add a couple in the trunk itself. I believe they are 6x9 and they have the plug ins for the Chrysler wiring harness but I'm sure I can get them hooked up some how. I plan to use at most 4 speakers, and the subwoofer, if I can find a place where the Chrysler box kinda fits. So the biggest issue is trying to mount everything. I can modify the door panels in the rear a little, but I'm not sure if there is room in the door itself for a speaker? Any suggestions?
