Ok so I'm thinking of adding an alarm with remote start to my 05' and back in my day when we did remote starts on transponder keyed vehicles we would wrap wire around the ignition switch and then around the key which we would hide under the dash and add a relay that would cut the loop to keep the key from being "seen" by the ignition switch if the car was broken into and an attempt to start the car. Well that's been a number of years, and I remember when I got out of the business that Bus modules were starting to make an entrance into the market.
Well it seems that every GP I have run into in the junkyard has had a key tucked into the dash. Is this still the way things are being done? What are you guys that do alarm installs using to bypass the factory anti theft without disabling it?
thanks,
Jeff
