I just bought a 2001 Grand Prix SE, the security light flashes for about 10 minutes everytime I start it.

Here is the whole story: The guy I got it from said it had remote start and never used it. He tried it when I was looking at the car and it started and shut off. After that even trying to start the car with the ignition key it would start and then **** right off. We just unhooked the battery and left it for a while, hooked it back up and did the 30 minute pk3 key relearn as per All Data.

Here is the details All Data give:

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF using a Master PASS-Key III key (Black).
Observe the Security telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn off.
Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds .
Repeat steps 1 through 3 two more times for a total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes . IMPORTANT: The vehicle learns the key information and/or passwords on the ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
Start the vehicle, the vehicle has now learned the key and password information.
With a scan tool, clear any DTCs.

So after doing that it made no difference, the light still flashes. There is a 555U bypass module for the remote start under the dash with a PK3 key in it too. Do you guys know if I need to take out that key and relearn it too?
