Well the wire on the radio Harness says illumination, will check to see if there is anything in the manual about it. But I guess it wont hurt to try either or and see how it works right?

Right.. you'll be done faster if you try it versus searching much longer.

Setup went well, I ended up buying a China double din android pretty sweet, just a quick question trying to get steering wheel Controls to work but with no success. Even tried with the axxess aswc adaptor and nothing, even though the light stays solid which means it detected the car and the radio. This double din doesn't require a adapted for the steering wheel controls if the signal coming from the steering wheel controls is analog. So question to you guys is the signal analog?

Make sure when you hook up the axxess you count the number of flashes to make sure you get the right radio brand recognized otherwise it may show it connected but it doesn't have control over it. Took me about two years to finally get mine figured out.

Burgundybullet, I did counted the flashing lights however its a china brand radio and already spoke with Metra support about this issue and they were not able to help me. According to the HU manual it says additional adapter is not required for steering wheel controls unless its digital signal or it requires a cambus which it doesn't.

I know there is power to the steering wheel controls as I put a multimeter on the steering wheel control wire and started to push buttons and the I saw the voltage changing. Anybody know on the factory harness what pin is the ground wire?

Well thanks for helping, I decided to give it a try again today and instead of giving it a 12v power I ground the wire and bang the steering wheel controls works.
