The brands I am looking at are between polk audio and kicker both have a rear set of speakers that go up to 300w+ when accompanied by an amplifier and have built in subs. Although not as loud as a separate sub, I really dont care for having a separate sub woofer. The stock Monsoon is loud enough in terms of bass but crap quality, and I want to replace the Monsoon rears with aftermarket ones, I am sure they would be much better. I am more for quality over bass. I listen more to heavy metal music. The bass on my Monsoon sometimes overpowers the vocals despite messing with multiple settings on my head unit. The stock Monsoon system is showing its age or I blew something out. I want to redo the whole system minus the separate sub woofer.

So I am looking for advice for the best speakers and amp combo to power the new dash, front, and rear speakers for under $400 in parts. If you gusy can give me a list for ideas that would be great.
I'm not clear as to why you'd need the dash speaker after installing new speakers in the corners but my set up, minus the sub, should fill the bill.

If you've gotta have the dash speaker this is a nice five channel amp. But it'll blow your budget.
