Bare with me guys, Today i was at the car wash and i was washing my car and i went too get back in the car and i turned lights on and drove away about 30 seconds later my "dash illumination/parking lights went out" i checked my fuses and i blew the park light fuse under the hood. I replaced it and everything was fine i went back inside and an hour later went back out and turned on the car and lights. 20 seconds later fuse blew again. Went to autozone and bought a pack of fuses , i installed one and now its immediately blowing every time i install it. Im stumped but now i have no parking lights or gaugecluster/dash lights.

Its about 15 degrees out so Mabbe the water frozen on something
i also have 10k hid kit installed and aftermarket headlight but let me remind you i have never had i problem until now. Had after market headlights for about 3 months now and had the hids for about 2 weeks.
i disconnected hid kit and installed fuse still blows along with the fog lamps too

Did you turn the car and the lights off before installing the new fuses? If not, that's a good way to keep popping them.

Fuses only blow due to over-amperage. Check all your headlight/foglight connections for obvious signs of damage (frays, burn marks, exposed wire, etc)

Yes i did the car was off while i was doing it, i unclipped hids (now i have no lights) then poped fuse in (still blows) reconnect headlights and do the same with fog lights(still blows) but if it was the fogs causing the problem why wud it blow parking lamp fuse

With the fuse still blowing without anything hooked up that means you have a short to ground. (a constant 12v wire is grounding itself out)

How do i fix this problem and what causes it? Meaning it is the park lamp fuse, do you think it is the parking lamp? Cuz i dont got blinkers or dash lighting. Cuz it be the switch? Also i had DRL fuse taken out so i can chose when i want lights on. I even tryed putting that back and still blows

Take out all light fixtures and look for a pinched wire, if one is found then repair the pinched wire. You could have pinched a wire months ago and the all the driving you have done since the install has caused the wire to short to ground( the body of the car) just from normal vibrations of everyday driving.

DRL fuse removed shouldn't be causing the issue. Do a detailed visual check of all your light connectors (Headlight, tailight, and fuse box) and see if anything stand out. If not, find a wiring schematic, get a multi-meter, and try to track down where your short is.

Yeah, a good shop should be able to track it down, but be prepared to possibly pay for a couple hours of diagnostic time.

Shouldn't but it depends on the shops diagnostic labor rate, and how long it takes them to track it down. Usually a good electrical diagnostician can have something simple like that tracked down in under 1/2 an hour.

Looks like a legit enough place. They should be good to diagnose any wiring issues as they do custom installs and the like.

Many moons ago I was a service writer at a repair shop. We had a guy that was fantastic at diagnosing electrical issues like this. Bottom line, even for a pro, some jobs are easy, but some can take hours to diagnose.

id wait for the car to warm in the sun or something to make sure nothings got ice bridging a plug or something. leave it parked in the sun. it may fix its self.

im in jersey too, i know its been below freezing for days on end still.
