Hey everyone, I've been reading some threads on here trying to figure out what i need to buy an aftermarket head unit. From all my reading on here, I've come to the conclusion to get this stuff.

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/cart/view.h...lh_cart_vc_btn

If you have anything to add to my list or any suggestions for me, feel free to say anything! I'm up for all suggestions! Thanks!

Ok! I just looked it up. I like that one a lot. Any problems or anything with it?

And do you still have that auto volume that you have with the factory radio?

The GMOS -04 adapter is for cars with factory amp( Monsoon) in your case. If you do not have the Monsoon center dash speaker then you do not have the Monsoon system and then you would need a GMOS-01 adapter

Some NAV units have this feature based on GPS tracking. More than likely you won't though.

Yes, unless of course you plan on removing the Monsoon amp, or bypassing it, or replacing it with an aftermarket amp, as many have, then the GMOS-01 is the one you need.

From what I understand, the Monsoon system is linked to the ECU to enable the automatic volume adjustments both up and down, based on engine speed, along with satallite equipment if equipped...making it a PITA when changing out at times....

The only thing I could add is if your looking to use an Iphone/ipod for you music you will need to purchase the adapter cord that would be made for whichever HU you pick.
