Is there anyway to make my cd player work better? On every little bump it skips so I can't even listen to cd's. I tried a disc cleaner and that didn't help and I know it's not my disc's cuz it happens all the time. Thanks for any advice.

Either hit the junkyard and throw another sticker ain't or just replace it. You can get a decent unit for under 150.

+1 on what fatboy says. The CD players from this era were okay, but, they did not have " skip protection " built into them. Alot, if not all current CD players actually play the music on a " lag ". You are hearing the music a few seconds after the read as it stores those few seconds of the songs into RAM. Should it recognize a skip, it will alternate between the disc and RAM to keep the sound continuous.

    I have a HU from a 2000 Bonneville if you're interested.

That, or just upgrade your HU.

I know 1997-2003 can fit a 1.5 DIN (without modding).

I *believe* 04+ is double DIN.
