That adapter will work, but I'd personally recommend the Axxess steering wheel adapter. It works the same way and costs just about the same amount, but the Axxess one seems to have less input lag.
You will have a tad of lag with any of them, it's more dependant on the radio, but I've spoken to several people who say the lag on the PAC one is just unbearable. I use the Axxess one with my Kenwood Excelon double-DIN and it's got no perceivable lag. Only with Bluetooth, but that is entirely due to my head unit.
It's the ASWC-1 in terms of model name, it's around $45, but in my opinion it's worth the slight price increase.
As for setting it up, as a forwarning you will only make use of a few of the wires it has, and it's got about 15-20. Go to the Axxess site and they have a helpful guide that will tell you which wires to use depending upon your vehicle and radio. The wiring is honestly the worst part, programming it is very easy to do manually, and if you're lucky it will auto recognize and program all the buttons itself.
i just purchased the Axxess ASWC-1 and purchased a pioneer headunit thats the same in my other vehicle(which i hooked up) wiring is easy for me iv just never had to do anything to a car with steering wheel controls. i enjoy wiring (most people dont)
