I have a 2008 GXP. I have a GM dealership programmed key fob. All door locks are functional locking and unlocking. However I am running into an issue: Normally I click my unlock button on the fob once and the drivers door unlocks, click it twice and the other three doors unlock. Additionally, normally when I put the car in gear all the doors lock and when I put the car in park all the doors unlock. But recently a problem has arisen. When I click the fob once the drivers door doesn't unlock, Click it twice and ALL the other doors unlock but NOT the drivers. When I put the car in gear all the door lock properly But when I park the drivers doesn't unlock, all the others do. Is this some sorta electrical issue or is the car telling me its time to change the fobs battery? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would say something is just wrong with the drivers door lock.

Whatever controls the lock, likely a small motor/actuator is on the fritz.

I recently did some work on the door of my 2003. When the door lock switch is unplugged, the door will not lock. Your fob seems to be working correctly, and the problem is likely in your door. Does the electric door switch work correctly? Perhaps there's a wire loose or corroded. Lock is different from unlock. If the key is in the car, it will complain and prevent the driver from locking the key in the car with the button.

No. That doent seem to be an issue. My problem lasts for five or six attempts to unlock and then it goes back to normal for a month.
