I was woindering, has anyone tried insalling a sound system based off of an Android tablet? you would get GPS, movie playback (off of an SD card, not a dvd), yu could get radio through various internet services, you`d have an engine monitoring system with Torque, AND... you could access the Grandprix forum with Tapatalk. Wonder how much would be involved?

I was aware of mp3car.com, just never knew they had Android setups. Thanks for the tip.

So has anyone on here tried this out?

pretty sure people are using adurino or raspberry pi also to make the whole android for mobile audio idea work. Caraudio.com also has a pretty good forum section. I havnt done much research on the adurino or raspberry pi stuff yet though its on the list of things to check out. Id also consider looking at a solid state hard drive because that's going to be the biggest key to reliability if you plan on storing media in the vehicle.
