    Hi guy's.

I just got a very nice 08 Grand Prix equiped with the stock cd player. I love how look the stock unit, but i miss to have mp3 player in my car. I know some GP, like GXP have CD player with MP3 player ... Can it be bolt-on in my GP ?

    Thank you !

And btw there is a write up for wiring in an aux input on a stock unit. Also several modules made for the same purpose.

Being an 2008, I wonder if anything changes with his car having Can Bus.

As in like not being able to use a radio from 04-07.

As far as I knew our system only lists two radios from 04-08. I guess it's a possibility though something I'm not 100% certain.

The new radio would have to be programmed to match the BCM if he wants full functionality.

Me personally, I dropped an aftermarket head unit in. I can do almost anything a current model car's radio can do.

I would invest some money into an aftermarket unit...
I had (still have it if interested) a stock 6 CD changer radio.
I put in a modules so it could have an aux input.. worked great but wasnt happy.
Eventually dropped some monies into a double din JVC that look great on gen 7s.

I have a 6-speaker, basic sound system; is there anything allowing me to retrofit the 6-disc HU or sat-nav without totally refitting the car for Monsoon?

Should be plug-n-play with no modifications other then maybe needing a reprogram.

Sounds great! I had a guy sound as if the cosmos would collapse if I tried... but to be fair, he was trying to sell me a brand-new $700 Alpine HU!
