Alright well I have been the victim of the HUD spring breaking... And I've been wanting to repair it very badly...I'm just very hesitant to in fear of breaking something or messing something up. I'm just the average 16 year old and was wondering if you think I would be able to tackle this by myself. What do you guys think?

Gotta have the HUD. One of the easier repairs and my trim didn't break in my 04.
I just drilled a hole next to the old spot and slipped the spring in. Piece-O-cake

The only hud trim piece that hasn't broken (I've done 4) was on a warm summer day. And I think there was a fair amount of luck. Those things seem disposable, they are thinner than the TP you put your finger through.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

From what im hearing im glad i did it at night when it was cooler out so i didnt break anything. i drilled a small hole in the plastic and it works like a champ. only took about two and a half hours. happy guy
