    Absolutely not necessary just for led lights. CB, I'd run new wire... but those leds can be run without issue.

I ran mine to the switched power and ground wires in the stereo harness... two strips of leds in each footwell. Worked fine with no issues. Only ran a dedicated supply later because.... well.... fatboy likes overkill lol.
