I HAD a red 06 GT, but along came a truck and WHAMM!! no more 06 :-(, but, I found an 07 gt, less miles, by alot went from 75000 to 36000, grey, different rims, and after a few months of owning her it dawned on me that, HEY, theres no center speaker on the dash!! Don't know why it took so long to notice. Upon futher inspection I relized there was no amp in the trunk, no center speaker and no where did it say monsoon, like the 06. ok. no monsoon. so.... now to my "?" what makes up the monsoon stereo. Whats the difference in a none monsoon and the monsoon. Should I just get some different speakers and add a amp or would it be worth it to add the components of the monsoon that I'm missing. Getting the monsoon amp I can do, there on Ebay, but is everything that you need to install already on the car, like many other wiring harnesess, well, needless to say I'm not sure where to go from here because I really notice the diference between the monsoon and none monsoon sound in the car and that center speaker not being there would require a different dash panel and I'm trying to get an idea of the best route for that rememberable monsoon sound I once had. Any help would be great and thank you.

you cant put the monson in your car,

my regals a 98, i just changed out the stock speakers, and that a lone made the stock radio twice as loud as it used to be, and then added a amp and a 12 inch sub, its just enough to keep me happy, i dont need it that loud, but adding the amp and sub did make a big difference.

An aftermarket radio will probably put you back to where you were (with monsoon). Mine made a very noticeable difference. Then like scotty said, when I added my 1500w amp and 12" sub, it's perfection.

lol i got a 1000 watt sub, and a 500 watt amp. and the amp is turned down to less then 1/2 power. so its not retarded loud compared to the stock radio.

if i turn it up the whole car vibrates pretty bad, id need some hush mat to shut the rattles up, should i go bigger. doubt it tho. the way it is now, no rattles.

My amp is about halfway, not sure what the wattage of my sub is, I'd assume about 700w since it starts to clip once I turn the amp up over halfway. My radio is also turned to half bass. It actually doesn't rattle anything if I turn the radio's bass setting all the way up.

I had 2 12s on this amp, amp was all the way up. THAT would make things rattle haha. I missed my trunk space and the fact that I don't listen to music with the bass CRANKED so I'm back to 1 sub.

even a singe 12 eats some truck space, as i had to re organize all my crap i carry, as im garage less. the better sound is worth the loss of space tho.

i got this one for free, as a double hand me down, it was given to my brother, then he handed it off to me. its no longer made, but its a memphis witch are supposed to be pretty damn good.

I wouldn't bother with adding the monsoon. I'd just get a nice head unit, 4 channel amp, and a 10"/12" sub. Leaves lots of room for expansion later on if you want to upgrade to better components up front or bigger sub etc....

I agree with running all new equipment, especially a single 12 in a low-tuned ported enclosure. It will blend nicely with your mids due to the natural rolloff in bass reproduction in the higher frequencies, and give you one hell of a smile when ya crank it on a song with some nice looowwwww notes. Just my opinion.

PS: for the sake of clarity, my comments about the sub blending and the low tuned enclosure are based upon the assumption that the time will be taken to acquire/build a properly designed enclosure based upon the driver's TSPs.
