My 08 gxp wont read a burned cd. is this normal? I really hope I dont have to have all non burned cds or switch the head unit out... too much $..
If there was a way to get an AUX on mine i'd be fine.

Are you burning on CD-R, or CD-RW? RW has a lower contrast and can cause playback issues.

Also the program you're using could be an issue. I recommend iTunes.

Media material, speed its burned, quality of audio track, format it's burned in are all factors.

Plus I would recommend something other than iTunes for ripping and burning audio discs.

Only cause I hate Apple... well not fully, but there are better applications.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!

Well I got the CDRW from walmart and it didnt seem to work at all in the GXP. So I'm gonna go get a 5pk of CDR and see if that works. I've had some of my old CDR work but I need more. Just sucks not having an aux port now.

I would recommend Memorex. They've been a good solid brand for me. Back when I had the $1000 Clarion from 99 in my GP. Would only play Memorex CD-R

Thanks i'll see if i can find some. REally wish there was a freakin AUX port! I can't listen to pandora anymore without using a pos fm transmitter.
And I know the PAC harness for aftermarket radios are not cheap or easy to use.

The Axxess kit is usually easier than PAC.

iTunes can burn CD's.. wow, didn't know that. Always used media player etc. Quick, easy and done.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

CDRs worked! Now I just gotta look into the AUX port mod on the XM harness.
