No, do not use the remote on your amp. its not a 12 volt supply and will fry out the remote trace in your radio and amp. quit being lazy and run a suitable ignition source back.

running something as small as that will not hurt running it off the remote. I have run numerous neons and fans at the same time off the remote w/o any issues.
