Alright so I'm having a hard time finding the right information on my HUD. Got in my car today after work and it's not lit up. Was working fine about 6 hours earlier. I can hear it moving but after having my brother sit in the car and move it up and down I couldn't see it moving but looking down the tunnel I see no light even in my dark garage. So I'm thinking it's the bulb. What do I do, I have no choice but to try and fix it myself because we'll I'm not paying tons of $$ for labor charges. So If it's the bulb how do I fix it? Can I? Or is it a full out replacement of the unit. All responses and help would greatly be appreciated. By the way it's an 04 grand prix gt2.

Spring probably broke on the mirror inside. Pull it out and tear it apart and have a look

Agreed.. Most likely the spring that keeps the mirror positioned is at fault. Pull apart, drill new hole..reattach and smile.

Ryan...they do tend to break a lot, therefore if you can turn a wrench....there's plenty of experience. Add in that I'm the guy with the garage and toolbox who always told friends to come on over. FWIW I've only fixed 3 of these.
