ok so i have an 04 gp gt i have two 12 kenwood subs on a small kenwood amp ( it all was a package deal) and i just put in a new jvc double din head unit, i have noticed that after driving a while say 40 miles, the subs start to cut out. If i stop and leave the car running and open up the back seat you can watch the amp light go out and come back on after a sec. what should i do to rid of this problem, thanks

First question is how do you have it wired, wire size and where do you have it grounded?
Second question is where do you have the gain set on the amp?

Could be a loose connection. Could also be the amp overheating and shutting down.

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

for one turn your meter on to read volts dc then check what you read at the battery. then compare that to voltage at amp. if you have a drop prolly bad ground.
turn the meter to ohms and read what the + and - read at the amp. not sure what your amp is rated for but usally 4 ohms bridged and 2 ohm stereo so let me know
