If you want to use your new speakers and the stock wiring this is what you're going to have to do. Take the wires from the stock 6x9 and wire them to the speaker connection on the new speaker, now comes the daring and tricky part, you are going to have to wire the other set of wires to the wires that are inside the speaker that go to the inner speaker, yes you may have to cut those little wires on the new speaker, am I making sense yet. This has been done before by many other members, I don't remember their names though. the only other solution is to completely replace the Monsoon amp with another aftermarket amp and just wire the speaker normally. If you do the first part of this description you may not be able to do the second part. The choice is yours. One other solution is to wire just the high set of wires to the new speaker(not the blue wires) and then just add an amp and subwoofer to get the lows that you want. The Monsoon amp has a total output of 270 watts of power for all 6 channels, the two 6x9s are subwoofers wired in parallel with a smaller full range speaker inside of the 6x9. This is why you get distortion, you are taking a signal that has gone thru a croosover within the Monsoon amp, and combining the signals at the speaker.
