I have a 2002 Grand Prix GT and my subs and amp were stolen from my ride last night. So they popped out my drivers door handle and got inside and stole my amp and 2 12" subs. They didnt steal my Pioneer cd player and didnt break out my windows. The idiots broke a piece from the amp that was still connected to the cable so now they cant use that amp. So im wondering, would my factory car alarm go off or sound if they popped out the door handle and was able to go inside and do what they wanted to do? The alarm still works. Tested it this morning. Overall, Im just glad becuz things couldve been alot worse but im still pissed.

I like the fact that they broke the amp and won't be useful unless repaired... Karma... it works

As far as the "factory alarm" it sux. Really. I have seen so many times where it doesn't work, the only way I can get mine to go off is when it is set (key fob locked 2x's) and if someone is inside, manually unlocks it and opens the inside door handle. I can keep the windows down, set it, manually unlock from the inside and open the outside handle and it never goes off. I just don't understand it.

Mine is a 99 tho, no PK3, hopefully that helps with the alarm to keep it from being stolen, but us pre-2000 models are up the creek.

i thought for sure if someone is messing with the door locks from the outside, that the alarm will go off. I guess not.
