added a sub..and when it's loud enough for the mirror, it vibrates(duh, but with noise, i mean). if I slightly push it against the windshield it won't make the noise. any advise on how to make it go away?

    Thanks!

edit 1: it vibrates at low amplitude of bass. the other parts of the car vibrates at a way higher volume.

edit 2: it feels like the vibration is from somewhere inside the mirror. it is autodim mirror..so it's a little thicker than normal mirror..does that make any difference?

    learn to live with it..

you could fuse the movement locations in the mirror so its rigid, but there goes adjusting the mirror ever.

if the whole mirror is loose, not the joints or the glass, try pushing the base further down on the button glued to the windshield. dont push to hard you can rip the button off. or worse case crack your windshield.

I don't mind it being blurry, it makes the plastic rattling sound, and that is ANNOYING!
like i wrote, other stuff makes the similar noise at a way higher volume.

    .........still live with it? :'(

This is a real thread? If so, get rid of the damn thing like blue said, and fogetaboutit. Whats more important? Your safety or your ability to piss off people a block or two away?

03 GTP...Its got pulleys and stuff.

if I slightly push it against the windshield it won't make the noise.
I'd say first try to tighten the mirror (the screw in the base that attaches to the windshield). Judging by the quoted statement it's just a little loose. You might want to try some thread lock or even put a thin rubber coat over the metal button before sliding the mirror on (duct tape works well for this if you have nothing else). If it's the inside of the mirror making the noise then you may want to consider a non-dimming or even a billet mirror- unless your willing to open it up and lock everything down.

    it is.
    safety.
you can't hear anything outside at the volume I'm referring to. Like i said, I know the point where things start to vibrate. the mirror vibrates at a lower volume.

FINALLY some serious post; thank you.
it is inside the mirror itself..I'm thinking the compass part inside. I'll try to open it and see what I can find.

All apologies. One reason why I try and stay away from this sight after I've been drinking all night: because I very lightly skim though posts. And there have been a few troll threads lately. Again, I apologize.
