Yea, just to seal the doors. and maybe on the trunk lid. Ive read mixed reviews of it being the same as peel and seal. But many say it sticks alot better. I thought Id give it a try.

Well I just traded a 17" computer monitor for a set of Boston Acoustics 6.5 components, and some matching 6x9's

I figured the Fatmat will do the job for me. Says it comes with a free roller too.

Peel n seal is 10 mil thinner. Only 10 cent cheaper a square foot. And yes the fat mat probably sticks better. It's butyl isn't it? Peel and seal is asphalt based and doesn't stick to well on vertical surfaces. What I'd do is get the fat mat and do 2 layers for the equivalent of 100 mil. I used SS damplifier pro on the doors and trunk...that's 80mil thick. I use 2 layers of peel and sesl on the floor and rear deck. It honestly had the same effect as the SS. 2 layers of peel and seal is 80 mil so that could be why lol

I thought it was butyl. Some people said is asphalt. As long as it does a decent job, Ill be happy. I dont have the powerful system that I used to have. My car dosent rattle much as it is. I will leave a review and pics of the install soon.

I have been using fatmat for 6 years now and all I can say is awesome. just make sure you want it where you put it cause it can be a B***H to get off it sticks better than anything Ive used yet and will actually seal small body leaks (I rattled the crap out of my ford taurus and made it leak) the roller it comes with was crap it may b different now though. I used my wifes small wood pastry roller.(man was she P***ED) and as always make sure to clean where u want to put it. awesome stuff just my .02 try it for yourself

So I finished the fatmat in the doors this weekend. Very happy with the results. It compliments the 8 speaker sound system nicely. I also noticed a difference in road noise as well. Good stuff!

and the roller it came with worked pretty well.

just bought some, 22.82 total after shipping. Maybe its not the greatest stuff or not the best way to go about it. But for the price some is better then none.
