Mids sound good and a low/medium volume. However they fall out when volume increases to a desired level.

I could really care less for rear speakers, Ill probably do without. I'm thinking some new 5.25" components. Has anyone had any luck with putting them in the door? I really don't want to make or buy kick panels. I think it will look stupid with the door speakers less than a foot away. Maybe I could build an enclosure for the door? Ill add some Hushmat while I'm at it.

    Input???

Yes Ill have the speakers amplified, Rockford P400.2

How could you need anything other than the factory ones, IMHO the stock gtp systems speakers are fantastic, But they start ****ting pretty soon with bass lol any new 5.25 components will sounds baller.

The factory staging sucks. All the bass and mids come from the rear. The 6x9's are much louder than the fronts. So I faded about 25% to the front. Lost my mids in the process.

Bump it up to a 6.5 component set. The only enclosure I've seen that fit behind the factory location are these plastic or foam baffles Metra 81-4300 Speaker Baffles for 5-1/4" and 6-1/2" Speakers

They usually wont just drop in, you may need to modify your stock brackets or make your own. There are some 6.5's that people have said drop right in, though. Here are a few ways people have done it.
