    Just about finished my stereo.

Its been a LONG work in progress...and I guess its not done yet.

Still going to add a subwoofer but I'm not really sure what size. Or if I would like one or two. I would need another amp for these sub(s) as well.

    So far I've put in...

    Deck: Alpine IDA-X100

I really love this deck because you can plug the iPod in. I think its great, no CDs, no mess, convenient. Its got the 30 pin plug of course so it charges the iPod as well. Also it charges the iPhone, however I don't think it can play songs from the iPhone. The newer models can however.

Front speakers: Alpine Type R 6.5" Components.

Sound pretty good, there loud of course. Tweeters swivel, helps direct them a little bit for what it worth. :S

    Rears: Alpine Type R 6x9"

Also pretty good sounding and pretty loud.

    Amplifier: Alpine PDX-4.100

10/10 rating for this amp. Runs cool, its small and compact. It looks really nice. Has cool blue lighting on the outside.

Has quick-connect speaker plugs. So far I found these helpful for the install. You just terminate the speaker wires into the plug itself then plug them in when your ready. Like I said there plugs, so you can pull them out real quick and easy.

I found the plugs useful for tuning. Just pull the rears out, tune the fronts, then same for the back. Quick and easy.

Maybe this isn't actually the way to tune the speakers? Help me out if you know. If its better to do the whole system at once, all playing at the same time. Or if its better to do each individual pair?

Plugs are good for removal as well, if you NEED to remove the amp for the extra little space it would provide. Once again its Quick and easy.

100WATTS/ channel is enough for me so far. Its loud when you turn them up.

However, I do like pretty well every genre of music. So when I do chose to play that rap stuff. I find my system lacking the obvious. BASS.

So what I would like is...

    Amp: Alpine PDX-1.600

    To power a 10" or 12" Sub.

What size is best for me?

I wanna play EVERYTHING. I want it all to sound the best as possible when it comes to the bass. Do I need a 12" box in my trunk? Or can lose a couple and go with a 10"?

    LET ME KNOW!

    Thanks.

I'm going to post pictures of what I can.

Show how I mounted my amp hopefully.

    Late.
