How do you like this setup? It's pretty similar to what I want to get in a couple weeks....

And if you dont mind me asking, how much did you get the sub/amp for?

Well my electrical system isn't up to par. Looking into a new alt, and batt setup. Hits good, clean low end. But I have my 1200D running at 1Ohm. But with my voltage where it's at my amp isn't running consistent of what it's rated at only getting about 900 watts of it. And... I got both the amp and sub for dealer cost, I paid $600 with the enclosure build and wiring. If I were to pick again I would have spent the extra $100 for the 3500 series instead. Maybe gone with a 10. I'm old now and just in it for sound q now and like the boom on the occasion.

Yeah, the size is pretty impressive lol.

I probably don't need it either, I have permanent tubes in my ear drums(for chronic ear infections). I can handle smaller systems just fine but I'm scared to really get into it... I've always wanted to since i was like 10.

That sucks man, I just been working at it for years and looked what finally happend. It's no joke when you hurt a important thing like your hearing. I don't think I'm even that loud but certain conditions and bam. Your deaf.

Yeah, and I've never really been in a car that has a proper system. Just cheaper subs/amps in ****ty pre fab boxes.

I'm not sure how my ears would react. The only thing my doctor told me these tubes would prevent me from doing is diving in a pool. Everything else is fair game. But who knows really :/

    Head unit: alpine cde 149hd
Front stage: hertz engery 6.5 components
Rear speakers: Rockford fosgate punch x9s
Subs: 2 15inch obsidian audio v2 in a custom made half wall tuned to~ 32hz
Amps: highs- rf punch 400.2 for the fronts, ap1500.1d for subs
200 or 220 amp alt and optima red top in the trunk. 2/0 guage big 3 and 0 guage back to the optima in the trunk.

Hoping for a mid 140s on the term lab but we shall see. Definitely not bad for 160 dollar subs and 150 dollar amp

My old setup. Two 12" alpine type Rs in an incredibly well designed box (I've never been able to replicate fully, but sounds amazing over any other box I've heard. Bought from a buddy who used it in comps). I beleive it was a Kicker ex.2000.1 amp pushing 2000 rms to the subs. Hit insanely hard, but my electrical wasn't up to the job so I decided to sell over spending another $500+ on just making it work lol

I miss it :/ but I still have the box and it makes my current setup sound incredible for only 400 rms. It's all in the enclosure.
