Had these in my Cavalier, which I just sold for the GP. I will put them in as soon as I feel like wiring it up.
    MTX 1000d
    MTX 12" 8000's
    Stinger 0 gauge wiring
    Cap
    MTX box (not pictured)
Pretty much destroyed the car with these. Sad when there was over $2200 in the back of a $3500 car..

The amp was designed for 0 gauge, and it said to use it in the book so I did. I did try it off of 4 gauge and it seemed to work fine though too.

Because I'm bored...I'm throwing up images from my original installation. It's changed some since then...

FYI, the cap is gone and so is the DQS. I've also swapped my TXA-3002(600x1@4ohm) for a TXA-750D and added a second DIYMA R12 sub.

    Funny guy

FYI, I'm beginning my excursion into rear fill(properly). Using T/A and bandpassing my speakers it has actually raised my stage and somewhat resolved the tweeter issue. Tweeter location isn't very good at this point but the addition of rear fill has given my sound stage somewhat of a rainbow effect now.

The rear fill has "erased" the ability to identify speaker locations though. Using T/A for two speaker setups in the front didn't seem ideal. Now with all 4 speaker locations T/A has steered the image right in front of the driver. It was kind of odd so I moved it back to the center of the dash. Tweeter attenuation helped a lot too.

    Forgot to mention trunk space

Once I finalize my hardware and my installation I have plans to move and hide everything to regain my trunk. Currently I still have access to my spare.

And that's what sucks about car audio

You can choose install or DSP. EQ can only take you so far...

Some people choose to fight reflections and others attempt to use them...

    RTA is a must!

Some people hear the issues but have no idea what frequency they're related to

    Gotta train the ears first.

Power pack for speakers? What in the world is that? If a "power pack" has anything to do with capacitors...save your money ;P

No a power pack is specific to alpine hu and it puts out 45w rms instead of 18w and it is very small. Essentially it is a mini amp for the speakers and it just plugs into the deck.
